Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School Mathematics Honor Society founded in 1957. Glen Cove formed a local chapter of Mu Alpha Theta in 2017. Since then, those Glen Cove High School students in grades 10-12 who excel in mathematics have been sharing their passion and understanding of the subject area by tutoring their peers. Acceptance into the math honor society takes place by invitation each summer.
